Frequently Asked Questions

Why can SCiB™ be charged and discharged at large currents?

SCiB™ uses lithium titanium oxide(LTO) in the anode, so there is no concern of lithium metal deposition when it is charged at a large current. In addition, optimized electrode design lowers internal resistance and suppresses heat generation, making it possible to charge and discharge at large currents.

Therefore, SCiB™ can store large regenerative power generated during deceleration in trains and automobiles and supply the large currents required to start motors.
