Industrial Cameras FAQ/Instruction manual of the came...

Instruction manual of the camera says that UserSet control provides only one channel Entry for DPC Control and SequentialShutter Control while providing16 Entries for the other registers. Please explain more precise about providing one channel Entry.(No.1545)

Registers of DPC Control and SequentialShutter Control are registers to be saved / read by the UserSet. Unlike registers of other Controls, DPC Control and SequentialShutter Control registers are written to or read from the same memory area regardless of UserSet is selected.

Pixel defect correction (DPC) is a process of outputting a normal image by replacing the sensor output value of the pixel at the coordinates registered as a defective pixel with the value calculated using surrounding normal pixel values. The coordinates of the correction target pixel are not influenced by various parameters of the camera.

Depending on the application of the camera, the pixel defect correction (DPC) parameter might be changed from the factory shipping value or the validity / invalidity of the pixel defect correction processing might be changed. Therefore, the registers of the DPC Control are included in target registers of UserSet Control. However, setting individual DPC Control parameters for each UserSet is inhibited.

SequentialShutter is a function to change the shooting conditions on every shot by loading shooting conditions saved in UserSet memory. The multiple shooting conditions are saved in UserSet in advance. In order to realize this function, registers related to SequentialShutter Control must be able to read the same value regardless of which UserSet is loaded.

However, only when UserSetDefault is set to Default (UserSet 0), the value of the SequentialShutterEnable register on camera startup will be off regardless of SequentialShutterEnable value on the last UserSetSave execution.

We consider that when Default (UserSet 0), which is the factory default value, is specified in UserSetDefault, a camera should be started with normal mode without performing any special feature such as SequentialShutter.

To activate with SequentialShutter enabled at camera startup, please set one of UserSet 1 ~ UserSet 15 to UserSetDefault.
