Industrial Cameras FAQ/It fails to write a value to P...

It fails to write a value to PixelFormat node using GenAPI function.(No.1485)

BU / DU cameras are designed to set image data format using combination of PixelCoding node which specifies components of image data and PixelSize node which specifies data length of a pixel data.

GenAPI library provides read-only PixelFormat node for BU / DU cameras from which user application can get PixelFormat value corresponding to the combination of current PixelCoding node value and PixelSize node value.
User application cannot write a value to PixelFormat node.

Use Controlling camera feature function SetCamPixelFormat() to set image data format specifying PixelFormat value.

If using GenAPI function is required, write PixelSize node value after writing PixelCoding node value.

Refer to "Ver4_2_002_PixelFormats.pdf" about relation of PixelFormat and PixelCoding and PixelSize.
