How long is the maximum string length of UserDefinedName in USB3.0 cameras (BU / DU series) and GigE Vision cameras (BG series)?(No.1513)
UserDefinedName is a register that keeps strings written to it in non-volatile memory.
In BG series, user application can write up to 16 bytes string.
In BU / DU series, user application can write up to 64 bytes string. Note that the maximum string length is 16 in BU . DU series cameras whose firmware version is Ver. 1.1.x or earlier.
Also note that when user application uses SetCamUserDefinedName() function or CameraControl.SetUserDefinedName method of TeliCamSDK, the maximum string length becomes 63bytes or 15 bytes, because TeliCamSDK will insert terminator character (NULL) after the specified string.
In BG series, user application can write up to 16 bytes string.
In BU / DU series, user application can write up to 64 bytes string. Note that the maximum string length is 16 in BU . DU series cameras whose firmware version is Ver. 1.1.x or earlier.
